sonagram

Plugin Type:

function

Description:

Evaluates the current selection by generating a sonagram. A sonagram is an evaluation of a signal over time (x axis), frequency (y axis) and intensity (color).

Parameters: (default mode)
FFT points

Number of points of the FFT, a whole number between 4 and 32767 which determines the frequency resolution.

window function

The window function used for the FFT calculation, supported values are:

valuedescription
noneno window function
hamming Hamming window
hanning Hanning window
blackman Blackman window
triangularTriangular window

color mode

The color mode can be set to one of the following values:

valuedescription
0grayscale
1color (RGB)
2color (HSV)

track changes

If set to non-zero, the sonagram will be updated when the area that was evaluated has changed. If set to zero it will never be updated.

follow selection

Not yet implemented, use zero for this parameter.

Parameters: (load from file mode)
load

If the first parameter is the word "load" then the following parameter will be interpreted as a file name for loading.

filename

Name of the file to load.

Parameters: (save to file mode)
save

If the first parameter is the word "save" then the following parameters will be interpreted as an index of the sonagram and a file name for saving.

index

The numeric index of the sonagram window that shows the sonagram to be saved. This is an index which is determined from the internal list of currently open sonagram windows, starting from zero.

filename

Name of the file to load.
